To start of the 2023 chick season we will have a mix of six Blue Partridge Brahma and six Blue Salmon Faverolles hatching eggs available. We moved out of state in 2022 and we had to slim down on what breeds we brought to Texas. We really wanted to be able to offer something for this year, so we are starting off slow so we can rebuild our flock as well.
Each of these breeds are great and in my opinion hold a special value to your flock. Each of these breeds are dual purpose heritage breed. The Brahmas come in various plumage patterns and we have the Blue Partridge. They make excellent mothers and lay large tan eggs. The Blue Salmon Faverolles are compact, do great in cold climates, and lay a beautiful tinted egg that at times has a pink hue to it. The fun thing about each of these breed carrying that blue gene is they do not breed true. The Blue Partridge Brahma eggs can give you blue, partridge, or splash chicks. The Blue Salmon Faverolles eggs can give you blue, salmon, or splash.
